Public Company Associate Attorney

Profile

A New York City, NY, law firm seeks a Public Company Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Public Company Advisory group, assisting with securities law counseling, SEC reporting, and corporate governance matters. Superior academic credentials, strong communication skills, and 4 or 5 years of relevant experience advising public companies are required.

Duties:

• Collaborate with the Public Company Advisory group to provide day-to-day securities law counseling.
• Assist with SEC reporting and compliance for public companies.
• Advise on corporate governance matters for public companies.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to securities laws and regulations.
• Draft and review legal documents, including securities filings and corporate governance documents.
• Provide guidance on disclosure requirements and best practices for public companies.
• Assist with due diligence for corporate transactions involving public companies.

Requirements:

• 4 or 5 years of experience advising public companies on securities law compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance matters.
• Superior academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Solid understanding of securities laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated interest in public company compliance and corporate governance.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.

Skills:

• Proficiency in securities law compliance and SEC reporting.
