Job Overview: A law firm in Independence, MO, seeks a proactive and experienced Litigation Family Law Attorney to manage family law cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage performance metrics, and possess strong litigation skills.

Duties:

• Proactively manage family law cases from beginning to end.
• Provide superior customer service to all clients, including monthly status reports and weekly case reviews.
• Make improvement recommendations to practice managers for enhanced efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Manage performance metrics using practice quality software to track accomplishments and client satisfaction.
• Represent clients in court proceedings related to family law matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited university.
• Passed the Bar Exam on the first attempt.
• 3-5 years of litigation experience, focusing on family law.
• Experience serving as 1st chair in family law cases.
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri, with a preference for dual licensure in Missouri and Kansas.
• Ability to quickly learn new technical programs and software.
