Duties

• Manage a full caseload of personal injury matters, including auto accidents and wrongful death claims.
• Conduct all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motions, and court appearances.
• Develop case strategies and provide legal counsel to clients.
• Lead and supervise paralegals and support staff.
• Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts and mediations.
• Draft and review legal documents, including complaints and trial briefs.
• Maintain regular communication with clients.
• Stay current with relevant laws and industry trends.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in New Mexico and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
• Proven trial experience with successful outcomes.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume caseloads effectively.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Client-focused with a commitment to ethical legal practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
