A law firm seeks a highly skilled Intellectual Property Associate with a technical or engineering focus to join their team in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate will have two to four years of experience in intellectual property matters, including patent and/or trade secret cases. This role requires excellent research and writing skills, strong advocacy abilities, and the capacity to work independently.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents related to intellectual property cases.
• Collaborate with team members on complex litigation matters.
• Advise clients on intellectual property strategies and protection.
• Represent clients in court and administrative proceedings.

Requirements

• Two to four years of experience in intellectual property law.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
• Membership in the State Bar of California is required.

Education

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent preferred.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
