Duties

• Advise clients on business entity formation and general business matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to corporate transactions.
• Support mergers and acquisitions practice, including due diligence and closing procedures.
• Negotiate and draft commercial contracts and assist with corporate compliance.
• Stay informed on changes in laws affecting business clients in New York.
• Develop risk management and compliance strategies.
• Foster and maintain client relationships, tailoring legal assistance to client needs.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
• 3-5 years of experience in business law, with a focus on corporate transactions.
• Mergers and acquisitions experience preferred.
• Proven initiative and ability to handle complex legal matters.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
