Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal defense matters at both the misdemeanor and felony levels

• Handle all phases of case preparation, including investigation, negotiation, litigation, and trial

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and memoranda

• Attend court hearings, trials, and client meetings as needed

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

• Provide strategic legal guidance tailored to the unique circumstances of each case

• Maintain high ethical standards and strict confidentiality

Requirements:

• Experience practicing criminal defense law

• Demonstrated trial experience and comfort in courtroom settings

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities

• Self-motivated with a commitment to client advocacy and success

• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency (especially in Spanish or Portuguese) is a valuable asset

• Board Certification in Criminal Trial Law is advantageous but not mandatory

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing with The Florida Bar

Skills:
