Duties

• Advise clients on a range of tax matters, including federal, state, and local business taxation.
• Counsel clients on entity formation and selection, including partnerships, LLCs, and corporations.
• Handle tax-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and business transactions.
• Guide business succession planning and investments in real property.
• Stay updated on evolving tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and strategic planning.
• Draft and review related legal documents, agreements, and reports.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop innovative solutions for complex tax issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal, state, and local business tax advisory.
• Experience with business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, real property investments, and succession planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• LL.M. in Taxation is preferred but not required.
