Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a Funds & Asset Management Tax Associate with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience to join its Tax Group. This position focuses on tax issues related to fund formation and asset management, including work with private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and private equity funds. The associate will engage in fund structuring, asset manager compensation, and other tax matters pertaining to asset management. Candidates with real estate investment trust (REIT) experience are preferred but not required.

Duties:

• Provide tax-related advice on fund formation and asset management.
• Handle tax matters for private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and private equity funds.
• Support fund structuring and asset manager compensation strategies.
• Advise on tax issues affecting asset management, with optional experience in real estate investment trusts (REITs).

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of tax experience focused on fund formation and asset management.
• Demonstrated knowledge in tax-related aspects of private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and private equity funds.
• Strong academic credentials from law school and relevant tax experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) received between 2019 and 2022.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership or eligibility for admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Proficiency in tax law with emphasis on funds and asset management.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex tax issues.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
