Duties

• Develop and execute litigation strategies for complex insurance defense and maritime cases

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders

• Draft reports, pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

• Take and defend depositions

• Argue motions before state and federal courts

• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and trials

• Collaborate with a global team on multi-jurisdictional matters

• Contribute to client development and firm-wide initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense experience in a law firm setting

• Strong background in litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions

• Experience handling all phases of the litigation process

• Familiarity with maritime law or international insurance litigation is a plus

• Admitted and in good standing with the California Bar

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Solid academic credentials preferred

Certifications

• Active California Bar license

• Admission in other U.S. states or jurisdictions is beneficial but not required
