A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its public and education teams in Little Falls, NJ. The successful candidate will provide legal services to municipal, boards of education, and other governmental entities throughout New Jersey.

Duties

• Arbitrate labor disputes and defend civil suits.
• Advise and counsel school district administrators.
• Research and prepare memoranda on education and municipal issues.
• Render oral and written legal advice to district administrators and board members.
• Support attorneys in preparing for hearings and meetings.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in New Jersey; New York admission is a plus.
• 0-3 years of legal experience as an attorney.
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in Lexis, Westlaw, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and presentation skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
