Duties

• Conduct client intake meetings and maintain ongoing client communication.
• Draft, negotiate, and settle cases in the pre-litigation phase.
• Draft pleadings, complaints, discovery requests, and responses.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and argue motions as appropriate.
• Work with experts, treating physicians, and medical providers.
• Prepare cases for trial, including jury trials when applicable.
• Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and litigation support staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely case documentation.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and firm standards at all times.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of litigation experience in plaintiff personal injury.
• Experience drafting complaints, discovery, and litigation-related documents.
• Licensed and in good standing in the applicable jurisdiction.

Preferred Experience

• Experience taking depositions and participating in motion practice.
• Jury trial experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
• Comfortable learning and using case management systems, including Smart Advocate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
