Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior-level associate to join its Litigation group in Miami, FL. The role involves supporting the Business and Commercial subgroup with various legal tasks and responsibilities.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts.
• Assist in the preparation of court filings and other legal documentation.
• Participate in client meetings, providing support and taking detailed notes.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials to observe and assist senior attorneys.
• Review and organize case files and evidence.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client and firm matters.
• Engage in pro bono work to provide legal assistance to underserved communities.

Requirements

• JD years 2022 to 2024 with strong litigation experience across various practices.
• Completion of a federal or state supreme court judicial clerkship is required.
• Prior law firm experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of Florida or eligibility to waive in.
