Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Fort Myers, FL to join their team. The successful candidate will assist in providing legal counsel to clients in a collaborative environment, working closely with senior attorneys to conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files.

Duties

• Assist clients in determining solutions to legal conflicts and the best course of action.
• Collaborate with clients, senior associates, and staff to efficiently move cases toward resolution.
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings, and provide legal counsel with senior attorneys.
• Prepare correspondence and legal documents for contract negotiations and proceedings.
• Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
• Engage in client communication, hearings, and potentially trial work.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Passed the bar exam.
• Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA).
• Member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
• Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet client needs and grow the client base.
• Solid communication and problem-solving skills required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA).
• Member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
