Job Title: Employment Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking an Employment Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years at a law firm specializing in employment litigation. The Employment Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling employment litigation cases but may also be assigned to other litigation matters as needed. This role requires a strong commitment to employment law, exceptional legal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Duties:

• Represent clients in employment litigation cases, including discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage disputes.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal counsel to clients.
• Prepare and attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Manage and organize case files, including document review and discovery.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases.
• Stay current on relevant employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of legal experience, with a minimum of 3 years at a law firm specializing in employment litigation.
• Admission to the New York State Bar is required; New Jersey State Bar admission is a plus.
• Strong intelligence, ambition, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Willingness to work diligently, learn quickly, and demonstrate independence while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional writing and oral presentation skills.
• Strong academic credentials, including a degree from a top law school and/or previous experience at a top law firm.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (required).
• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (preferred).
