A law firm in Bangor is seeking a skilled Civil Litigator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling civil litigation cases and will be responsible for representing clients in legal matters involving civil disputes. The role involves advocating for clients' rights throughout the entire litigation process, from drafting pleadings to representing them in various legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
• Manage all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
• Provide exceptional client service, including regular communication and updates on case progress.
• Attend and represent clients in various legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Maine.
• Experience in civil litigation.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
