Job Title: Pre-Litigation Attorney

A well-established law firm in Fairlawn, OH seeks a dynamic and experienced attorney to manage a high-volume caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters. The role requires a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced settings, can independently navigate case development, and brings strong negotiation acumen. Duties:

• Analyze case records and client histories to build persuasive claims

• Develop supporting evidence for liability and damages in injury matters

• Handle settlement discussions, including negotiations and lien reductions

• Maintain consistent and professional contact with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and court staff

• Collaborate with internal teams to advance firm objectives

• Provide supervision and oversight to assigned support personnel

• Ensure timely progression and resolution of cases from intake through settlement

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Ohio

• At least 2-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation or insurance defense

• Demonstrated background in claims evaluation and negotiations

• Ability to manage a fast-moving caseload with minimal supervision

• Adept at maintaining client relationships and working cross-functionally

• Strong written and verbal communication skills under pressure

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the Ohio State Bar

Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

• Familiarity with legal practice management platforms (experience with Needles is a plus)

• Exceptional negotiation techniques and case assessment capabilities

• High level of organizational skill and professional judgment
