Job Overview:
A respected and forward-moving law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL is currently seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a strong foundation in personal injury law. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a courtroom, enjoys taking cases from inception to resolution, and values professional growth in a collaborative legal environment. The selected candidate will engage in a variety of tasks ranging from courtroom appearances to strategic litigation planning, with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the firm’s expanding litigation portfolio.

Duties:

• Oversee and manage a litigation caseload, from investigation through final resolution or trial

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft complex motions, pleadings, and discovery documents

• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials

• Formulate litigation strategies and coordinate case management in alignment with deadlines and court procedures

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess risk and develop case narratives

• Prepare and respond to written and electronic discovery, including interrogatories and requests for production

• Lead or assist in trial preparation, including jury instructions, exhibit lists, and witness preparation

• Analyze legal documents and negotiate settlements when appropriate

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of recent experience handling personal injury litigation

• Experience in both plaintiff and defense-side litigation preferred

• Strong command of trial preparation and courtroom procedure

• Proven success managing multiple complex cases under tight deadlines

• Admittance to the Florida Bar in good standing

• Spanish language proficiency is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Florida (required)
