Job Overview:

A law firm in Oakland, CA, is seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney with 4-8 years of preferred experience in either a law firm or in-house with a business or governmental entity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong general corporate background, including expertise in structuring and advising LLCs, corporations, and partnerships, reviewing and drafting commercial contracts and business agreements, and corporate governance.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on general corporate matters, including entity structuring, contract review, and corporate governance.
• Advise clients on the legal implications of business decisions and strategies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements.
• Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide timely and effective legal support.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a law firm or in-house setting.
• Strong general corporate background with expertise in LLCs, corporations, partnerships, and commercial contracts.
• Excellent academic credentials and a commitment to community engagement.
• Superior interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
• Exceptional judgment and the ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
• Articulate legal strategies and courses of action clearly and concisely.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active California Bar license or a commitment to obtaining one as soon as possible.
