Job Overview:

A well-established law firm located in Islandia, NY, is seeking an experienced attorney to join its general liability defense team. This role offers the opportunity to independently manage a litigation caseload in a dynamic and supportive environment. Duties:

• Independently manage a diverse caseload of general liability matters

• Represent clients in court appearances and hearings

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Engage directly with clients and experts

• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Apply strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills

• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced litigation practice

Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York State

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability

• A background in labor law is a plus

• Proven ability to handle cases independently

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and responsiveness

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (mandatory)

Skills:

• Litigation strategy and case management
