Job Overview
A law firm seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join its Affordable Housing and Community Development Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to handle a variety of legal matters related to affordable housing, real estate development, bond financing, and tax credit transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate finance or affordable housing law and demonstrate the ability to manage complex legal projects while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Duties
Advise clients on legal matters concerning affordable housing, real estate financing, and community development.
Assist clients with tax credit transactions, bond financing, and real estate development projects.
Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements related to regulatory compliance and financial transactions.
Collaborate with senior attorneys, associates, and paralegals to provide strategic legal solutions.
Oversee client relationships, ensuring high-quality service and timely completion of legal matters.
Conduct legal research and analysis on affordable housing policies and real estate regulations.
Requirements
Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in affordable housing, real estate, or real estate finance law.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining strong client engagement.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferably ranked in the top third of graduating law school class.
Certifications
Active membership in the Texas State Bar.
Skills
Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical abilities.
Expertise in affordable housing law, real estate transactions, and financial structuring.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
