Duties: Manage legal processes as applicable to business unit (i.e. contract administration, records retention, subpoena, insurance program, maintain professional licenses, defense strategies in IRS and state taxing audits, etc.). Produce documents and correspondence for legal and regulatory proceedings. Gather, review, and analyze pertinent information/documentation to assist in presentation of legal issues. Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports for departmental use. Draft formal written responses to state and Federal taxing authorities. Ensure compliance with the legal, regulatory, professional and internal standards applicable. Identify legal and business risks and escalate appropriately. Support the attorneys and others as-needed on projects concerning technical projects, firm policies, procedures, and risk management. Work independently with a focus on completing projects quickly and effectively. Handle other duties as assigned.
