Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney to join their Long Island, NY office. This role involves managing a diverse caseload in construction and general liability matters, offering a flexible, hybrid working arrangement in a modern office environment.

Duties

• Independently manage cases in insurance defense, general liability, and NYS Labor Law construction matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys and partners on high-impact legal projects.
• Handle court appearances and depositions regularly.
• Engage with clients, providing timely updates and guidance.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• 8+ years of substantial litigation experience.
• Experience with insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability.
• Advanced understanding of NY Construction Law preferred.
• Experience with OSHA proceedings and regulatory compliance preferred.
• Background in Corporation Counsel or District Attorney's Office a plus.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.

Skills
