Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil litigation, a strong understanding of Florida law and procedure, and exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Job Duties:

• Work closely with clients and the legal team to strategize and advance personal injury cases.
• Conduct legal research to interpret and apply Florida case law, statutes, and evidence code effectively.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Prepare clients for depositions and participate in deposing opposing expert witnesses.
• Utilize knowledge of Proposals for Settlements, Offers for Judgments, etc., to negotiate favorable outcomes.
• Apply medical knowledge relevant to personal injury litigation to strengthen cases.

Requirements:

• Member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Florida law and civil procedure.
• Strong legal research skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Deposition experience.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational and time management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
