Duties

• Gather and review medical evidence and records.
• Conduct depositions of claimants, physicians, and other parties.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings and motions.
• Litigate cases before an administrative law judge.
• Represent employer or insurer in various legal proceedings.
• Communicate with claims representatives.
• Monitor and report on loss trends and concerns.
• Assist in accident investigations.
• Manage costs to reduce liability.
• Compile and submit management reports.
• Coordinate and attend claims reviews.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.

Requirements

• J.D. and admission to the Illinois bar; additional Midwest state bar admission is a plus.
• Residency in or around Peoria, IL.
• Proven experience in workers' compensation defense in Illinois.
• Maintain firm and client confidentiality.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar
