Private Equity Analyst
The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of work experience in a related field, preferably in private equity, fund formation, finance, investment banking, business development, or commensurate graduate school experience. Should have the ability to adapt and learn quickly within a fast-paced environment and possess strong project management, interpersonal and communication skills. Professionalism and confidentiality are crucial to this role as are strong research capability, critical thinking skills, and the ability to multitask. Should be self-motivated, eager to drive results, organized, and detail-oriented. This is a unique opportunity for an individual newer to the industry to join an established team, learn the business, and expand the role over time. Research emerging managers and LPs that invest in emerging managers. Analyze and synthesize data to source new leads. Build and maintain a database of contacts within the target community. Track touchpoints and manage contact check-ins. Participate in client and prospective client calls. Track action items and next steps for the team. Provide post-call research and after-action reports to the team. Coordinate emerging manager and private equity event logistics in conjunction with the firm’s events staff, business development staff, and private equity attorneys. Should have Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business, mathematics, accounting, finance, or economics; 1-3 years of work experience in financial services, investment banking, private equity, or business development; strong analytical and research skills, including an understanding of the private equity ecosystem; Self-starter and highly organized; highly collaborative with strong verbal and written communication skills; strong working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
