Mid-Level Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney for its Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience. Borrower-side representation is a key aspect of this role, with a strong preference for experience working with private equity sponsors. Candidates with experience in general company-side representation are also encouraged to apply.

Job Overview:

• Position: Mid-Level Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney
• Location: Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on private credit, acquisition, and leveraged finance matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to finance transactions.
• Draft and review transactional documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, and other financing documents.
• Assist in due diligence reviews for finance transactions.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop and execute financing strategies.
• Represent clients in negotiations and meetings with opposing parties.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
• 2 years of relevant experience in private credit, acquisition, or leveraged finance.
• Strong understanding of finance and corporate transactions.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Admission to the California Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
