Job Overview
A law firm seeks a skilled Employment Law Associate to join its team in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have experience handling employment-related litigation, providing legal counsel on workplace compliance matters, and assisting with the development of employment policies and agreements. Duties
Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including matters involving discrimination, leave policies, wage and hour disputes, non-compete agreements, and contract breaches.
Advise employers on workplace compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Draft employment-related documents, including policies, employee handbooks, contracts, and separation agreements.
Conduct internal investigations into workplace disputes and compliance concerns.
Provide training to employers on best practices for employment compliance and workplace policies.
Handle matters before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies.
Collaborate with legal teams to develop strategic solutions for clients facing complex employment challenges.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment law.
Proven ability to handle employment litigation in both state and federal courts.
Strong background in advising employers on compliance and risk management strategies.
Experience drafting a wide range of employment-related agreements and policies.
Ability to conduct internal workplace investigations and provide comprehensive reports.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.
Skills
Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.

Effective case management and organizational skills.
Experience with alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is a plus.
