Champion the rights of injured employees by managing claims under Pennsylvania workers’ compensation statutes.
Conduct thorough case assessments through initial client consultations, evaluating potential claims for merit and viability.
Scrutinize medical records, identify critical issues, and determine appropriate legal filings to initiate or defend claims.
Represent clients during hearings and litigation before Workers’ Compensation Judges throughout Pennsylvania.
Lead expert witness depositions, providing strategic guidance and legal counsel to clients throughout the lifecycle of their claims.
Draft persuasive legal memoranda and briefs to support cases pending judicial decisions.
Facilitate negotiations and settlements, ensuring clients receive fair compensation for their injuries.
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree awarded by an accredited law school.
Licensure: Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar, in good standing.
Experience:
Minimum of three years practicing workers’ compensation law, specifically within Pennsylvania.
Preference for attorneys with direct experience representing injured claimants, though candidates with defense backgrounds will also be considered.
Technical Skills:
Comfortable leveraging technology for case management and client communication.
Familiarity with legal software platforms (prior experience with systems like SmartAdvocate is advantageous).
Caseload Management:
Proven ability to handle a demanding docket of over 100 active cases with efficiency and attention to detail.
Languages: Spanish fluency is an asset and strongly preferred.
