Family Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in Des Moines is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join their team. The Family Law Associate Attorney will provide legal advice to clients, conduct legal research, negotiate on behalf of clients, and represent clients in court proceedings. The candidate must possess a strong knowledge of family law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice to clients in family law matters
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies
• Negotiate agreements on behalf of clients
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Manage a caseload efficiently and effectively

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of family law
• Strong research abilities
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Experience representing clients in court proceedings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in Iowa or ability to become admitted

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in Iowa or ability to become admitted
