Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Family Law Department in Hackensack, NJ. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, from client intake to resolution, including court appearances and trials.

Duties

• Draft persuasive motions, legal memoranda, and correspondence in family law matters.
• Conduct case law research and prepare court filings.
• Support litigation strategy and handle motion hearings and case conferences.
• Appear in court independently or with senior attorney guidance.
• Manage a caseload with oversight from senior attorneys.

Requirements

• Familiarity with New Jersey family court procedures and rules.
• Proactive, organized, and confident in managing cases.
• Ability to work collaboratively and exercise sound judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar.

Skills

• Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
• Ability to draft persuasive legal documents.
• Comfortable with courtroom appearances.
