Contracts Analyst
The candidate will coordinate and administer contract related functions requiring advanced technical knowledge and expertise. Responsible for entry of contract related data into company tracking and financial databases, contract analysis, contract management, etc. Support, maintain, and manage a diverse group of complex contracts in assigned area. Provide expertise as a subject matter expert and lead regarding the review, analysis, and processing of Construction, Operational (gas gathering and processing agreements, NGL marketing agreements, etc.), Master/Procurement, and all facets of Contract Administration Agreements. Working knowledge of legal requirements and acumen as it affects or relates to contract terms and terminology. Team lead for Contract Administration training to ensure team is fully trained and cross-trained on all processes and procedures for consistent and seamless support. Willingness to take ownership and accept responsibility for actions and decisions. Broad focus relative to contract issues that may impact the organization. Exceptional ability for attention to detail, process oriented, self-starter, and demonstrates initiative to work as part of a team. Acts as a lead and subject matter expert to the Contract Analyst team for the negotiation of Agreements. Provide contract summaries on contractual matters as needed. Ensure contract execution in accordance with the approval authority policies, guidelines, and contractual requirements. Develop and prepare regular reports regarding the status of contracts. Accountable for creating a culture of ethics, contract management, compliance and consistency within the Contract Administration team to ensure alignment with processes, policies, and procedures. Acts as a senior liaison and consultant to various departments regarding contracts and agreements. Provide strategic process improvements and drive for process improvements and efficiencies. Conformity with established business, compliance, policies/procedures as well as relevant laws and regulations. Audit contract related systems and process compliance on a weekly and monthly basis. Facilitates workload assessment and job assignments to support workflow. Assist in maintaining an effective team through proper training, and input to workload assignment of personnel. Identify issues and design solutions to improve departmental systems and procedures. Provide feedback and input to employee performance and reviews. Create and cultivate a team oriented environment. Bachelor's Degree in business or other related field. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in contract administration including contract negotiation, Strong MS Office skills, Juris Doctor degree. Experience in the oil and gas energy industry, Experience in midstream industry. Experience with Visio, SharePoint, CLM/Ariba, and Quorum Contract Management. Work expeditiously and under time constraints. Ability to take in a lot of systems, procedural, and policy knowledge to better problem solve for stakeholders. Very organized and detail oriented. Team player that demonstrates strong leadership skills. Understanding and adherence to all Contract related controls. Ability to review and interpret specifications and technical requirements. Excellent oral communication skills, demonstrable both one on one and in group settings. Communicates clearly and concisely both orally and in writing (including grammar and spelling). Data entry skills with high-level accuracy. Strong work ethics in areas of honesty, integrity, and knowledge. Ability to prioritize work and effectively management time including assisting other team members to prioritize and work effectively.
