Location:

• Chicago, Illinois

Duties:

• Lead and manage the Workers’ Compensation department

• Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation cases from inception to resolution

• Conduct evidence depositions and represent clients at arbitration hearings and jury trials

• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients and ensure the highest level of advocacy

• Collaborate with legal staff and attorneys across departments

• Maintain case files and documentation using legal practice management software

• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to firm leadership initiatives

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in workers’ compensation law

• Proven ability to manage cases independently and drive them to resolution

• Strong courtroom and litigation skills with a desire for trial exposure

• Client-focused mindset with a strong commitment to advocacy

• Familiarity with fast-paced and collaborative work environments

• Portable book of business is a plus but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Proficient with client matter management software (e.g., Clio, Smokeball)
