Senior Litigation Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Tarrytown, NY is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will represent clients in all phases of litigation from initiation to trial in matters involving general liability, professional liability, and/or employment claims. Experience in casualty, construction defect, professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, and/or general liability litigation is a plus. Experience at an insurance defense litigation firm is also advantageous. The candidate must be barred in Pennsylvania and possess excellent writing and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Lexis software is required.

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation from initiation to trial.
• Handle matters involving general liability, professional liability, and/or employment claims.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Manage a caseload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar.
• 10+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience in casualty, construction defect, professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, and/or general liability litigation is a plus.
• Experience at an insurance defense litigation firm is a plus.
• Excellent writing and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in Lexis software.
