The New York office of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. seeks to hire a mid-level associate to join its nationally recognized media and IP practice. We work with broadcasters, newspapers, magazines, book publishers, podcasters and technology companies that create, use, and distribute content. Lawyers in our media and IP practice handle a broad array of counseling, pre-publication and litigation matters involving First Amendment issues, libel, privacy and copyright (among other issues). We are looking for a dedicated and passionate lawyer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have
a
minimum of four years’ media litigation experience, with a preference for candidates who have experience working on content-related claims, including copyright and libel litigation and/or defending lawsuits against media companies.
Experience providing counseling and pre-publication services is a plus, but not required. A sense of humor and the ability to work as part of a team are definitely required.
Candidates must be active members of the New York Bar in good standing, and possess excellent academic credentials and strong writing skills.
We are relentlessly committed to client service and look for candidates who share that commitment. At DWT, client service means having empathy for each client’s and each lawyer’s work and personal pressures, business objectives, and legal needs; anticipating their needs; and having the capabilities and commitment to deliver what matters most to them.
To apply please submit your cover letter addressed to Morgan Dufault, Manager of Talent Acquisition, resume, copy of law school transcript, and a writing sample. We would appreciate you specifying how you heard about this position.
We are accepting submissions from third-party recruiters at this time.
