Senior Litigation Attorney

Profile

A law firm located in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of litigation experience. The candidate will represent clients in all phases of litigation from initiation to trial in matters involving general liability, professional liability, and/or employment claims. Experience in casualty, NY Labor Law, construction defect, professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, and/or general liability litigation is a plus. Experience at an insurance defense litigation firm is also advantageous. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and organizational skills, be comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Lexis software. A New York-Barred attorney is required.

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation from initiation to trial.
• Handle matters involving general liability, professional liability, and/or employment claims.
• Experience in casualty, NY Labor Law, construction defect, professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, and/or general liability litigation is a plus.
• Represent clients at depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders.
• Manage case files and documentation.
• Work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and Lexis software proficiently.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of litigation experience.
• New York-Barred attorney.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in New York.
