Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Real Estate Attorney with 5–8 years of experience to support its growing Real Estate practice group. This role is ideal for attorneys with significant leasing experience who are looking to work independently within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Retail leasing experience is particularly valued. This position offers flexible location options, including fully remote work.

Location:

• Washingtom, DC

Duties:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate leases, with an emphasis on retail leasing

• Manage legal matters independently, while supporting client business objectives

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume practice

• Collaborate with internal legal teams as needed to ensure comprehensive service delivery

• Respond promptly and effectively to client and business unit requirements

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of legal experience in real estate law, with a strong emphasis on leasing

• Retail leasing experience strongly preferred

• Must be licensed in home jurisdiction or eligible for admission without examination

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple matters simultaneously

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active law license in the candidate’s state of residence

• Eligibility for bar admission without examination, if not currently licensed in that state

Skills:

• Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment

• Professionalism and responsiveness in client interactions
