A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.

Duties

• Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy and restructuring cases.
• Handle Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.
• Engage in distressed M&A transactions and creditor negotiations.
• Navigate complex subject matter effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or similar environment.
• Experience with distressed investing, private credit, and capital solutions.
• Exposure to distressed asset sales and acquisitions preferred.
• Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
