Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in New York City, NY, seeks a highly skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with significant experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will navigate challenging legal scenarios, including shareholder and partnership disputes, defaulted financial transactions, creditors' rights matters, and real estate litigation. This role requires strong analytical and writing abilities, along with a commitment to excellence and the ability to thrive under pressure while supervising junior associates.

Duties:

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation cases, managing all phases from discovery to trial.
• Attend court conferences, and hearings, and conduct depositions.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Develop case strategies, draft legal documents, and conduct thorough legal research.
• Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in good standing in the State of New York.
• 4-8 years of experience in commercial and/or Trusts & Estates litigation matters.
• Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to engage directly with clients and counterparties.
• Experience in trial work, Trusts & Estates litigation, or Employment Practices litigation is a plus.

Education:

• A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is required.

Certifications:

• Must hold a valid New York State Bar license in good standing.

Skills:

• Excellent writing and analytical abilities.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
