Duties

• Handle personal injury case files from start to finish.
• Evaluate potential personal injury claims and advise prospective clients.
• Draft, review, and modify legal documents including claims, motions, and pleadings.
• Research case law and gather relevant evidence, including insurance policies and medical records.
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and insurance adjusters to gather information.
• Negotiate agreements and settle claims on behalf of clients.
• Make court appearances and attend mediations, depositions, and trials in California.
• Document and update case files in the case management system.
• Manage a team of paralegals, legal assistants, and case managers.
• Track work calendar and court deadlines according to the California Code of Civil Procedure.
• Calculate costs and compensation for settlement presentations.

Requirements

• JD degree.
• Licensed and admitted to the California State Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California State Bar admission.

Skills

• Experience with Westlaw preferred.
• Experience with CasePeer preferred.
