A law firm seeks a skilled Personal Injury Associate Attorney in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will passionately advocate for plaintiffs in personal injury cases, managing cases from intake through resolution. Duties

• Represent plaintiffs in personal injury matters from pre-litigation through trial.
• Manage cases involving auto accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and other injury claims.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs.
• Perform legal research and factual investigation to support case strategy.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
• Advocate for clients at mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Maintain consistent, compassionate communication with clients and manage expectations.
• Collaborate with case managers and other attorneys to ensure efficient case handling.
• Track deadlines and ensure compliance with procedural and ethical requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing in IL (TX, KS, MO a plus).
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation.
• Strong negotiation, litigation, and trial advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
• Client-focused mindset with a strong commitment to ethical advocacy.
• Must be fluent in Spanish.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing in IL (TX, KS, MO a plus).

Skills
