The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of tax laws, demonstrate the ability to bill a minimum of 30 hours per week and show a commitment to developing and obtaining new clients. This role requires a team player with a passion for handling IRS tax debt and collection cases, state and IRS audits, appeals, and litigation.

Duties:

• Possess a profound understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Bill a minimum of 30 hours per week, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
• Develop and obtain new clients for the tax practice.
• Work collaboratively as part of a legal team.
• Be willing to study outside of work to advance tax-related skills.
• Handle IRS tax debt and collection cases.
• Manage state and IRS audits, appeals, and litigation cases.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on tax matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar and eligibility to practice law in Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on tax experience.
