A law firm in Ann Arbor, MI, is seeking an experienced Mid to Senior level Tax Associate Attorney with 5-8 years of experience. The candidate will predominantly handle transactional tax matters, collaborating closely with securities and finance lawyers, and engaging with investment bankers, financial advisors, and government officials nationwide.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on transactional tax matters, including structuring and planning.
• Conduct in-depth research on tax laws, regulations, and case precedents.
• Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Develop and implement tax strategies tailored to client objectives.
• Represent clients in tax-related negotiations, audits, and disputes.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in Michigan.
• 5-8 years of experience in tax law practice.
• Strong understanding of transactional tax matters and associated legal principles.
• Experience in tax issues related to public finance, tax-exempt organizations, or similar fields preferred.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Michigan State Bar.
