Job Overview: A law firm in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a passionate and aggressive Associate Attorney dedicated to the pursuit of justice. The ideal candidate will have experience in wrongful death, medical malpractice, Indigenous law, and civil rights cases and must be a compassionate team player willing to tackle challenging but rewarding legal matters.


  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, such as trials, hearings, and negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide sound legal advice.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and contracts.
  • Maintain and manage client files, ensuring confidentiality and organization.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals to develop case strategies.
  • Attend client meetings and effectively communicate legal advice and updates.
  • Keep abreast of legal developments, regulations, and case law.


  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the New Mexico State Bar or eligibility for immediate admission.
  • 2+ years of legal experience, with a preference for wrongful death, medical malpractice, Indigenous law, or civil rights cases.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to serving clients' best interests.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to professional development.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Certifications (if applicable):

  • New Mexico State Bar membership or eligibility for immediate admission.
