Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Post-Grant Proceedings Associate in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of post-law school experience and will work on patent invalidity analysis and drafting IPR/PGR petitions. 

Duties

• Conduct invalidity analysis of patents and prior art.
• Draft IPR/PGR petitions and legal and technical arguments.
• Collaborate with experts and prepare expert testimony.
• Conduct and defend expert depositions.
• Engage in oral advocacy before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, D.C.
• Patent litigation experience before the PTAB or experience before the USPTO.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice before the USPTO is preferred.
