Unit Supervisor Court Op
The candidate will work providing oversight to clerical staff in the criminal and traffic departments of the District Court. Employees in this classification assign, direct and coordinate the work of subordinate clerical staff. Reallocates staff to prevent backlog and proper coverage within the unit. Manages time and attendance records. Evaluates, counsels and disciplines subordinate staff. Reviews the work of staff for accuracy and ensures processes are completed efficiently. Resolves complex matters presented by staff and the public. Trains staff on Court procedures and practices, automated systems, filing and office equipment. Attend meetings and training sessions which impact the operation of the unit. Position is designated essential personnel and may be subject to work during emergency closings and staffing shortage. Performs all other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or GED are required. Ability to operate a personal computer or terminal. Ability to operate a cash register. Ability to recommend modifications to improve procedures and practices. Ability to deal tactfully and impartially with attorneys and the public often under stressful circumstances are required.
