Job Overview:
A law firm in Portland, OR, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil litigation and transactional matters and will work on a variety of legal cases, including landlord/tenant disputes, family law, personal injury, condominium law, probate, real estate, and general civil litigation. This position requires strong research and writing skills, the ability to multitask, and comfort in courtroom settings.

Duties:

• Handle a diverse caseload, including landlord/tenant, family law, personal injury, probate, real estate, and civil litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
• Advise clients on legal matters and develop case strategies.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and support staff.
• Maintain client communication and ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in civil litigation and transactional law.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable handling court appearances and advocating for clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Oregon State Bar (mandatory).
• Admission to the Washington State Bar (preferred but not required).

Skills:

• Civil litigation and transactional law experience.
