Duties

• Collaborate with partners on complex commercial litigation cases.
• Meet with clients and draft pleadings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Propound and respond to discovery.
• Conduct legal research and write motions.
• Make court appearances and argue motions.
• Participate in trials and interview witnesses.
• Draft agreements and negotiate settlements.
• Attend mediations and assist with trials and arbitrations.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as a licensed attorney.
• Licensed in Illinois and admitted to practice in both state and federal court.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Exemplary client service skills with prompt response levels.
• Detail-oriented with strong drafting and negotiating skills.
• Ability to communicate legal subject matter to non-attorneys.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage workflow independently to meet firm deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
