A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its Labor and Personnel Practice Group in Itasca, IL. The successful candidate will provide counsel on employment and labor relations matters, negotiate collective bargaining agreements, and represent employer school boards in various legal issues.

Duties

• Counsel client administrators and school boards on employment and labor relations matters.
• Negotiate collective bargaining agreements on behalf of management.
• Advise and represent employer school boards on labor issues.
• Draft and negotiate employment contracts.
• Prepare resignation and separation agreements.
• Conduct personnel investigations.
• Represent employer school boards in employment-related claims.
• Review new legislation and assist clients in updating policies.

Requirements

• Three years of labor and employment practice experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Superior research and writing skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
