Profile
Well-respected domestic relations law firm seeking associate attorney with 0 to 7 years experience.
We seek a full-time associate to work at our Cincinnati-area law firm on divorce cases. The person filling this role will work hand-in-hand with partner or senior-level attorneys until you are ready to progress to managing your own caseload.
There is substantial room for expanding your role as the firm continues its consistent, long-term growth. In the process you will learn to manage complicated cases, you will develop excellent litigation skills, and you will create a large client base. You will be well-supported by an excellent team of attorneys and paralegals. And, thanks to our team approach to all cases, you will never be left alone to sort out urgent client matters with your own personal emergencies.
Any candidate for the position must be in good standing and hold a license to practice law in Ohio. The ideal candidate for this position highly values confidentiality for our firm’s clients, is extremely proactive, exercises strict attention to details, understands how to explain complicated subjects in simple ways, and enjoys learning all the time. You must understand that our firm adopts new technology frequently when we see an opportunity to improve our client’s experience, so any applicant must be comfortable with that environment. Lastly, we value a wide variety of experience, both legal and non-legal, over specific domestic relations or divorce law experience.
Your primary activities in this role will include:
- Communication with attorneys, paralegals, and clients
- Organizing electronic case files
- Preparing correspondence and legal documents
- Meeting with firm attorneys to coordinate case progress
- Conducting discovery and reviewing documents
- Researching legal issues
- Developing case strategies
- Preparing for hearings
- Speaking with clients
- Appearing in court (initially, at least, on a very limited basis)
Send your resume, references, and cover letter to The Fogelman Law Firm at AdamFogelman@fogelmanfirm.com. The interview process will include one telephone interview and one to two in-person interviews. We intend to fill this position by July 1, 2022, though delays are possible.
As a team member at The Fogelman Law Firm, you will enjoy a competitive salary commensurate with your level of experience; insurance and retirement benefits; a great work environment with friendly, dedicated team members; part-flexible work location and hours; and paid time off.
