Paralegal

Duties: Support for regulatory matters, including: Prepare or assist with preparation of and file pleadings and other papers in connection with pending cases before the IURC, such as petitions, motions, proposed orders and reply briefs. Calendar filing deadlines and other dates in pending cases. Manage discovery for pending IURC and court cases, including but not limited to: Assignment /delegation of responsibility to all levels of management (including officers) for preparation of discovery responses. Review and editing of responses. Coordination of final preparation and delivery of responses to the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor and other parties to IURC cases. Other paralegal support for litigation matters before state and federal courts, including: Prepare and file pleadings and other papers in connection with pending cases, such as appearances, answers, motions and case management plans. Calendar filing deadlines and other dates in pending cases. o Prepare and coordinate discovery requests and responses. Prepare and manage litigation hold requests. Paralegal support for transactional matters, including but not limited to: Assist with preparing transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, supply chain contracts and non-disclosure agreements. Assist with preparing requests for proposals and similar documents. Assist with due diligence. Work with Legal and Rate and Regulatory Affairs Administrative Assistants to set up and manage files for pending and closed litigation and regulatory cases. Conduct legal research and fact investigations. Other paralegal duties as assigned.
